Attendance Policy at Brocklewood Primary
In order for your child to reach their full potential, it’s so important they have a good attendance record at school! Did you know that your child can win prizes for good attendance? Please read the Brocklewood Primary School Attendance policy and find outmore information you might not know!
We work with the Transform Trust Attendance Officers who visit school regularly. In school, Attendance is managed by our office staff, Mrs Tarrant and Mr Jones. They are always there to answer and questions you may have regarding your child’s attendance.
The School Day
Foundation and Key Stage 1
Key Stage 2
8.30am – 11.30am
12.15pm – 3.15pm
8.40am – 3pm
8.45am – 3pm
We request that children do not come onto the school premises until 8.35am. School is closed until the bell goes at 8.40am. If it is raining KS1/F2 pupils will be let into classrooms slightly earlier and KS2 pupils and parents will be let into the corridor when staff are available. We would ask that parents do not walk through school to take their children to class.
We ask that all nursery parents wait outside the door to main reception when collecting their child until a member of the nursery staff collect them. This is to avoid excess noise and congestion in the reception area.
When you collect your KS2 child at 3pm we request that you wait in the playground for them. Of course, if you wish to visit your child’s teacher, you are welcome to come into school after 3pm, this is better than first thing in the morning when the teacher is settling the children in.
KS1/F2 pupils are collected from classroom doors.
Important information regarding the current position on issuing fines for absence can be found here. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this letter, please do not hesitate to speak to Mrs Folkes or a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
