TEMPORARY SCHOOL BUILDING CLOSURE
As you may be aware we have seen a series of positive Covid-19 cases in school that have impacted different class bubbles and year groups. After such a sustained period of having no cases in school, I am determined to continue to make our school a Covid-secure environment for children and staff. Therefore In consultation with Transform Trust we have taken the difficult decision to close the school site to all staff and pupils from Monday 8.2.21 to prevent any possible transmission of the virus at school. All pupils will therefore have remote learning at home next week.
Friday 12.2.21 is an INSET day so there will be no live sessions that day.
This temporary closure will take us through to the half term holiday, therefore providing a 2 week break.
My appeal to all parents is to observe Covid-secure protocols at all times – isolate if you or your household have symptoms, book a test and prevent the spread of this virus.
Staff will continue to contact you over Class Dojo and Teams next week.
Thank you for your support.
Please DO NOT send your child to school if they have a high temperature, a cough or a loss of sense of taste
If your child is isolating, please ensure they complete the remote learning.
This is uploaded to class dojo and on the remote learning page of the website.
On this page you will see all letters with the dates in which they were published about school and covid-19. Please check Class Dojo and this page regularly to ensure you have the most up-to-date information. There is also the new timetables for drop off and pick up for your child’s class for September.
Please ensure that your child:
– Has a labelled water bottle.
– They can have a school grab (lunch) bag or bring a packed lunch.
– Try and come at the time for their class.
For the days when chiildren have PE, they come to school in their PE clothes as there are no safe spaces for getting changed.
Primary children don’t need a mask- that is secondary school pupils only.
